Product Introduction：

The Retinal Pigment Epithelial (RPE) Cell Differentiation Kit is an efficient cell differentiation tool independently developed by SomaxBio. It is specially designed for the directed induction of human pluripotent stem cells (hESCs/iPSCs) into RPEs. Adopting an optimized combination of small-molecule compounds and growth factors, this product enables efficient and stable differentiation. The resulting cells display typical RPE features with polygonal epithelial morphology and can form a confluent monolayer, stably expressing RPE-associated markers including MITF, PMEL17, RPE65 and BEST1. This kit is suitable for mechanistic research, drug screening and cell function evaluation of RPE-related retinal degenerative diseases such as age-related macular degeneration and Stargardt disease.
