Brain Organoid Kit
Specification:
1 Kit
Storage Conditions:
Base Medium: 4℃; Additives: -20℃
Product Introduction:
The Brain Organoid Kit is a chemically defined, serum-free cell culture medium specifically designed for the efficient and stable generation and maintenance of brain organoids from human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). Through the simple, multi-stage differentiation protocol provided by this kit (usually starting with the formation of embryoid bodies (EBs) in ultra-low attachment culture plates), iPSCs can be directionally differentiated into complex 3D brain organoid structures. As a chemically defined, serum-free ready-to-use organoid kit, it is used for the self-organization of human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) into miniature brain-like structures under three-dimensional culture conditions, mimicking the developmental process, tissue structure, and functional characteristics of the human brain. The resulting brain organoids typically contain various cell types representing the developing brain (such as PAX6+/SOX2+ neural progenitor cells, TUJ1+ neurons, GFAP+ astrocytes, etc.) and can even exhibit certain electrophysiological activities (such as spontaneous calcium signaling). They can be used in multiple fields such as simulating brain development, disease mechanism research, and drug screening.

Product Advantages
Diverse Brain Region Formation: Brain organoids can form various discrete but interdependent brain regions, including the cerebral cortex, choroid plexus, retina, and meninges.
Recapitulates Human Brain Development: Exhibits characteristics of human brain development, such as abundant radial glial progenitor cells and unique progenitor cell zone organization.
Applicable to Disease Research: Suitable for research related to diseases such as microcephaly.

Operation Procedures and Precautions

Storage and Thawing:Store all components of the kit at the specified temperature for long-term use. Thaw components stored at -20℃ slowly at 4℃ before use, avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. It is recommended to aliquot and store according to single-use volume.

Pre-use Inspection:Centrifuge briefly and mix gently before use. Do not use if precipitation, turbidity, or bottle damage is found.

Strictly Follow Protocol:Be sure to use the latest version of the operation manual provided with the kit. Do not arbitrarily adjust steps, time, or reagent ratios to ensure the reproducibility of differentiation results.

Cell State Requirements:Only applicable to iPSC lines with good state and stable pluripotency. The density and state of initial cells are crucial for differentiation efficiency.

Specialized and Pure:All components of the kit are designed specifically for the supporting workflow. Do not mix with other systems. Use sterile techniques during operation to avoid microbial contamination.

Usage Statement:This product is for research use only, not for clinical diagnosis, treatment, or in vivo application in animals/humans.

Experimental Design Suggestion:To ensure experimental success, it is recommended to operate in batches and set cell density gradients when using for the first time.
